Quick Summary
A Paytm payments bank distributor has received an Income Tax notice under section 131(1) due to large cash deposits into their current account. The distributor clarifies that the deposited funds are working capital for money transfer services, not personal income. They seek guidance on how to explain this to the Income Tax department, highlighting that their actual income is derived from commissions on money transfers, for which they already file GST returns.
