Income tax mismatch

Sir,

I have filed my return during FY 2012-13 manually and some ammount add in wrong section but I have pay the taxes. Now Incme tax department gives outstanding demand for that. Can I have correction the return filed at that time.

An application for rectification of any assessment order can be made u/s. 154 of IT act, within 4 years time. So if the time permitted in your case, you can file rectification....... Otherwise no alternative.

4yrs from FY in which order was passed...so check ur limit accordingly...i think in ur case time has already been expired...please correct me shrawan Sir if I am wrong

according to my opinion, your ITR would've been processed and demand raised during f.y. 2013-14. as such, time limit to file rectification application has been expired.
