There is no such kinds of benefits from income tax department for mere filing of income tax returns for deceased assessee. if any refund is due we can get the same.
I dont think so. legal heirs cant be made liable for the acts of the deceased. a proceeding cannot be launched on the legal heirs for penalty or offence.
