Maximum deduction available Under section 80C to 80CCD is Rs.100,000/-, for this purpose there is no difference between individual and women assessee.

For the Assessment Year 2009-10 basic exemption limit for a women assessee 10 Rs. 1,80,000/-

Maximum deduction allowable under section 80C of The Income Tax Act,1961 is Rs1,00,000/- for all the assessees irrespective of being a normal assessee,female or senior citizen.

There is a fixed limit of Rs 1 Lacs in case of an individual .
