I have completed govt work contract of govt of maharashtra of rs 16 lakhs. work contract was of only excavation work by JCB.Last week I have received the payment from govt department and I have paid all people's via check but they have not given me the bill invoice. i have paid the bills of jcb service providers via check as per their savings account name as they don't have current account.
No goods are involved in this work.
Is there any problem in income tax filing.
is there any invoice problem??

It is good that you have paid all the expenses by cheque, but try to get bills from the suppliers, with their name address and PAN no. mentioned over it.

In case of any query or under scrutiny...... it is your liability to authenticate the supplier or justify the the expenditures; unless you have declared the income under presumptive assessment.
