Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to report income from house property in your accounts. For individuals and HUFs, it should be shown as 'Rent Income' under the Capital Account. For partnership firms and other business entities, it's recorded as 'Other Income' in the Profit and Loss Account, provided the entity isn't primarily in the business of renting property.

If you are a individual or HUF, than in Capital Account as head Rent Income
If it's Partnership Firm, or any other business entity, than Rent income under Major head Other Income in Profit and Loss A/c.
Show it as other income if aseesee is not engaged in the business of renting of housing property.
