Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how property vacancy impacts the calculation of Gross Annual Value (GAV) for income from house property. For a property vacant for part of the year, the GAV is determined by the actual rent received or receivable if it's lower than the expected rent. However, if a property remains vacant for the entire year, its annual value may be considered nil, meaning it's treated as unoccupied.

According to me!
case 1.. yes it will be DLOP because it has annual value
case2 no... because when it is vacant for the whole year ..
annual value will be Nil
so it will remain unoccupied HP
correct me if I m wrong !

Case-1 Where let out property is vacant for part of the year and owing to vacancy, the actual rent is lower than the Expected Rent than the actual rent received or receivable will be the GAV of the property.
