Dear sir,

Please help me in this regard:

One of my employee (comes under TDS)is pursing his M.Tech and paid fees an amount of Rs.22,000/- is that amount exempt from tax?if so it is inclusive of 1,00,000(80ccc) or apart from 1,00,000 kindly help me

any amount paid paid as tution fees to any educational situated within india for the purpose of full time education can be claimed u/s 80c and it is inclusive for 100000 limit of 80ccc or 80c in total.

Yes, you can claim deduction u/s 80C of Rs 22,000 /-  if it is tution fees.

tuition fees (excluding any payment towards any development fees or donation or payment of similar nature), whether at the time of admission or thereafter,

(a) to any university, college, school or other educational institution situated within India;

(b) for the purpose of full-time education of any of the persons specified in sub-section (4);
