You have to pay tax for closing stock value as on 30 Jun 2017 & then sell with applicable rate of 1% in case of trader & 2% in case of manufacturer
Pay tax at what rate
applicable rate of Gst on item
So we have pay only 1% as we will be in composition
For old stock
Please clarify @ what rate of tax the old stock of a composition dealer can take? Is it old vat rate @ 14.5% or new composition rate @ 1%
Switching from normal scheme to composition scheme, taxpayer shall be liable to pay an amount equal to the credit of input tax in respect of inputs held in stock on the day immediately preceding the date of such switch over. The balance of input tax credit after payment of such amount, if any lying in the credit ledger shall lapse.
