Important Announcement: The Student’s Journal - (13-07-2010)
I.   Issuing Student’s Journal free of cost:

1.     Students under PCC stream are sent Student’s Journal, free of cost, for a total continuous period of three & half years (42 months) from the date of commencement of articleship. They will continue to receive the Student’s Journal even after joining final course, provided the period of 42 months is not over.

2.     Students belonging to IPCC stream are entitled to receive Student’s Journal free of cost for a period of one year from the date of registration. Once their articleship commences, they will be sent Student’s Journal free of cost for another three years from the date of commencement of articles. They will continue to receive the Student’s Journal even after joining the final course provided the period of 3 years is not over.

Kindly note that the above categories of students need not pay any amount separately for the Student’s Journal along with the course fees. 

II.   Keeping in view that the Student’s Journal provides academic updates and other relevant material for all those pursuing CA course, it is advisable that students pursuing CPT as well as all those who are not eligible to receive copy free of cost must subscribe, at the following concessional rates:

Annual subscripttion rates for Student’s Journal 

Students (pursuing CA course including CPT students) Rs. 200
Members & Others Rs. 500
Overseas US $ 100

Students, members and others interested in subscribing Student’s Journal may send the appropriate amount through Demand Draft in favour ofThe Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India payable at New Delhi together with applications on plain paper to the Director, Board of Studies at A-29, Sector 62, NOIDA – 201301.

Inviting Articles for Students’ Journal - (13-07-2010)
The Student’s Journal – The Chartered Accountant Student is an important interface between the Institute and the students pursuing CA course. It carries useful and contemporary articles and write- ups authored by eminent people in their respective fields and also by students. Besides, students get regular academic updates on various subjects of CA curriculum and other important information relating to the Institute and its functioning. 

The Board of Studies invites articles from members, academicians, students and others for inclusion in the Student‘s Journal. Please note that an honorarium of Rupees Twenty Five Hundred will be paid for an article published in the Student’s Journal. 

Please also note the following w.r.t. Articles:
  • The article should be relevant to the Chartered Accountancy Course.
  • It should comprise 1600-2000 words only.
  • It should be original. A formal signed undertaking in the form of a letter stating that “the article is original and does not infringe any copyright and has not been published elsewhere or has not been sent for publication” should be sent along with the article.
  • A latest passport size colour photograph with full name and registration/membership number (if applicable) written at the back should also be sent along with the article.
  • A soft copy of the article with complete communication and email address should also be sent.
As you are aware that Board of Studies has been bringing out special issues on contemporary topics relating to Chartered Accountancy course since March, 2010 issue. For the October 2010 issue, the proposed topic is "The role of CAs in eradicating corruption". Please send your article on this topic latest by 14th August, 2010.
