Import duty and service tax

Hi,

I have a private limietd company which gives out construction equipment on rentail to big contractors like HCC/Gammon etc.

I am planning to import some spare parts for the machines, the basisc duty, CVD etc paid on import can it be set of on service tax payble by me.

As far as my knowledge goes you can set off excise duty and service tax, not sure about customs duty

yes u can take the credit of basic customs duty and CVD.
