Quick Summary
This discussion explores the rights of illiterate customers with non-cheque facility accounts in UK banks, particularly concerning fund transfers exceeding £1 lac. It questions whether such customers can avail fund transfer facilities and outlines the potential authentication process involving a bank manager. Alternative methods for real-time fund transfers without physical cheques are also discussed, aiming to clarify how these services can be accessed.

The person have to appear in front of bank manager for authentication of account and have to follow such rules as prescribed.

Or there is a other way that is.

There is real time transfer of funds to the beneficiary account. The remitter need not use a physical cheque or a demand draft. The beneficiary need not visit a bank branch for depositing the paper instruments.
Bank will provide him instant non printed cheque. Then after he may transfer the funds.
