Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common GST issue where the IGST amount is not being set off correctly in GSTR3B. The user has a significant IGST credit but is being asked to pay a tax amount, which seems incorrect. Other users are providing guidance on how to manually set off IGST against SGST and CGST liabilities to resolve this discrepancy and avoid unnecessary tax payments.
I guess a balance of 10,873.92 must remain in your IGST credit ledger.Payment of GST will not arise in the said case. Anyone is free to correct me if i am wrong.
As per my understanding, you should first set off your IGST credit with SGST. and then use CGST Credit to pay CGST output liability, then finally you need to pay 14,936.96.
Output liability SGST output liability (82,093.48-82,039.48 IGST CREDIT) CGST output liability ((82,093.48-3822.52(igst balance credit) - CGST (37,524accumulated+25,810current period)). Balance 14,936.96 you have to pay and you have SGST balance of Rs. 25,810. In your credit ledger.
