Idt selection

I am a CA Final Student.I am in the initial phase of my CA Articleship but I want to acquire knowlege of Indirect Tax Laws.But my seniors and friends suggest me to dont go for coaching at this time Coz my attempt is in 2013.

I want to know which Book should i purchase to get knowledge of IDT as well as helpuf for preparation of CA Final IDT Exam. Please suggest a book which contain Basic concepts too.
