Hi All, I left CA Final in 2004 I will appear for Nov 2009 examination Group 2 CA Final Old cOurse. Kindly suggest the relevant book to study for Indrect Taxes and share the notes so that I can clear this examination. Any help would be very much appreciated. Also, kindly do suggest me the tips to clear Costing and Direct Taxes as well and which notes to study. Thanks

Bangar
Both are good.
VS Datey may be a little longer.(Datey Approx 750 pages against Bangar Approx 650 pages)
Bangar is in easy question answer format.
Just buy one book and study it sincerly. No point buying both and trying to study it in 3 months (when there are other subjects to be covered).
Even im writing Nov 09 exams.

For IDT Bangar is good, but pl buy latest edition of June 09.
For DT you can buy V.K. or Manoharan, both are good, latest edition and also read latest amendments and case laws.
For Costing do not leave theory, and practice as much as you can for practical qn.
