Sir If it is Observed in CA Final Law Paper. Sylbs Mentions Allied Laws at 30 Marks Sylbs.

Now If you carefully see the Paper for Last 5 Attempts Even Incl this Paper. The Coverage is Either 22 marks or 38 Marks for Allied Laws. See How.

7 Ques Total Que 1 Compl & any 5 from 2 - 7

Allied Laws Coverage is 5 -6 Marks in Que No 1, In Que 3- 8 Marks, In Que 5 - 8 Marks & Question no 7 -16 Marks.

Considering that Q 1 is attempted as it is compulsary

Now if the Student leaves Quest No 7 as Optional he gets an attempt of only 21 -22 marks of Allied Laws. 

Student leaves any one of Quest  2 or Quest 4 as Option, Then he Gets 37 - 38 Marks at Allied Laws

Only One condition that 30 Marks of Allied Laws gets covered is a Student leaving either Q 3 or 5 as Option then only the Sylbs of 30 Marks gets Covered.

The Moot point is that How can ICAI have such a disproportianate Distribution of Marks in the Paper compared to the Marks weightage Declared in the Sylbs.

If We consider that Q 1 -3 - 5 - 7 with any two from 2/4/6 are attempted student gets to attempt 62 of Corporate Law & 38 or Allied Laws.

Student Attempts Q 1 - 6 then he Gets 78 of Co Law & 22 of Allied Laws

ICAi is by itself Violating its Own declaration & Publication of the Marks covered & Distributed in the Sylbs.

ICAI is Cheating the Students by telling something & Giving something which is very different from which it has declared in Writing.

Lets take this Matter too with ICAI.

If this Matter is Taken ICAI will have to Allot 8 more Marks to every student this Time for this Disproportianate seggregation of Marks

Its true Last few attempts marking pattern is like this

Question 1 -  5 marks (SECRA)

Question 3-   8 marks (SEBI)

Question 5-   8 marks (BANKING)

Balance are in Question 7 (4 questions 4 marks each)

So one can read SEBI and SECRA thourghly rest they can take chance

Its depends on student ability to read the rest no will read the small topics like Comptetion,  FEMA, Insurance, etc

Exactly i agree, icai shoul introduce practical VIVA sort of test for students, which shud consist of atleat 30 marks weight age, especially for subjects like FR, AUDIT, n TAX so that clear distinction is made between those who have slogged in articleship n those who have done dummy, this will not only encourage students to do articleship but also bring about more objectivity in the way students are evaluated, m going to ask icai to do this, also icai tends to check only memory for exms like audit law etc, exms in countries like AUSTRALIA,US n europe are not conducted like this, icai shud globalise its systems n not stay stuck in 19 century
