I filed a belated ITR for the previous assessment year 2021-2022 but I accidentally filled income and Tax details of current assessment year 2022-2023 which are more in amount than the previous assessment year which I wanted to fill. I have received an intimation notice for demand for around 40000 rs. I have tried to submit a rectification request but the offline itr filing facility for editing the json file is not working, it gets stuck at the income page. Please help me, what can I do now?

If you hv filed a wrong return send a rectification notice immediately.
You may file updated return u/s 139(8A)
Wrong filling of details as per income tax act.
Since revised return deadline is over , you may use alternative mode of ITR U
Use rectification
Data correction can't be done rectification. So you may use update return
But you can't reduce income in ITR-U
It's accepting practically.Check once
It's accepting but can't be used to reduce demand as same will not get processed, for that go for Rectification
Data correction can't be accepted in rectification and it may ask for revised return but deadline is over for revised return
Thats what I need to say , so better to try once by rectification
I tried to use rectification process but the online portal is not allowing me to upload the json file of the rectified return stating that Income cannot be changed in rectification request.
Yes then there is no solution other than physically visit to your jurisdictional officer
