All Projects have a planner, whose sole purpose of existence to ensure that the Project is completed on time, and during its completion, the Planner constantly monitors and adjusts the plan for things to work smoothly and timely.
All students need to have a plan, which should be dynamic because life happens and things go out of control.

"Systematically followed" requires students to plan the course well.
Perhaps you may have done it, care to share a bit more on what you did during your studies?
Just prepare schedule of reading which will be in-depth hour wise, subject wise and also chapter wise planning to be done with keeping time for revision of 1 month. Mix two subjects for 1 month and then again 2 other subject for 1 month or 1 & half like wise as per requirement and availability of time. Just ensure to follow schedule by 90% or more and try to balance remaining 10% whenever you get time or skip somewhat also, it will be ok if you cover 90% very well. Start from small chapters to increase your number of chapters done score which will increase your confidence to go ahead. Do prepare notes and use highlighters or sketch pens for important points/lines/key words which will be used for overview at exam days. Also one more very important point, keep one friend with you who follows same like schedule or who has planned like same and discuss regularly how much he/she covered and such internal discussion/support will work for both of you to reached to target.
I have done the same and passed out both CA & CS in so much challenging situations.
