Dear if you have register you have to pay you sales tax first and then you can surrneder your tin if you don't want to continue with your tin

I wish to continue with the TIN, just wanted to clarify if i have to pay VAT from the first sale or when the turnover reaches the threshold.

No need to pay tax until turnover crosses threshold limit...just file a nil return in the prescribed due date(s)

Correct me if i'm wrong friends

Dear , in tamilnadu if you file a NILreturns continuously for 3 months , your sales tax tin number will be disabled

Oh i see...i'm just an ipc student and reside in Chennai...thanx for the info sir.

will help me in my articleship tenure!!

If vat is collected, it has to be paid even if the turnover is less than threshold limit. Correct me if i am wrong friends..

Sir, Vat is collected true.

As per their rules , vat has to be paid on sale only that too what ever collected.

I f there iss not sale -you will accumulate ITC, when you sale you can  get it adjusted
