An HUF i.e. Hindu Undivided Family can also apply for Permanent Account Number / Pan Card. Application Form (Form 49A) for Pan Card for HUF is also the same as in case of Individual but with following different procedures for pan card application:-
A. Complete name of HUF should be written in the space provided for “Last Name / Surname” .
B. Application will be signed by the Karta of HUF by black ink .
C. No photo of Karta will be required but signature of Karta should be made at 3 same places as in case of individual.
D. An affidavit in original will be required with the hard copy of application. Language / Proforma / Draft of affidavit may be down loaded from www.pancard.org.in.
E. Date of Incorporation of HUF will be date of marriage of karta or date of birth of child.
