HUF

There is an HUF with 3 coparceners say "ABC HUF". What would happen in case ABC the karta of this HUF expires? Will XYZ, the eldest son become the karta of this ABC HUF and continue the ABC HUF or there would be a total partition of this ABC HUF amongst the coparceners.

- any co-pancer ( male), can be karta of the HUF of his father ( eldest preferred)

- its upto the family members to partition or continue

Further can a person be a karta in 2 HUF's. eg. in the instant case XYZ is also a karta of XYZ HUF.
 

- he is the karta of his own HUF by nature

- he is the karta of his father's HUF by succession
