plz tell me hsn code is mandatory under gst or not....

For registered persons, it is mandatory to quote HSN codes on your sale invoices, if your turnover is more than 1.5 cr.
Further in GSTR-1, HSN code wise summary of sales is to be shown.
HSN CODE IS COMPULSORY FOR EVERY REGISTER PERSON.
ONLY DIFFERENCE IS , IF YOUR SUPPLY IS NOT MORE THAN 1.5 CRORE YOU NEED NOT TO MENTION IN INVOICE. BUT YOU HAVE TO MENTION HSN NUMBER WHILE FILIING RETURN.
