Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether you can claim House Rent Allowance (HRA) on your salary income while also claiming interest exemption on a home loan under Section 24(b) for a self-constructed property. The consensus is that you can indeed claim both. HRA exemption is available as per Section 10(13A), and interest on home loans for self-occupied properties has a maximum deduction of £200,000, while for let-out properties, there's no upper limit.
