My Client has HRA Portion in his salary Structure,but he failed to submit Rent Reciept to his employer , so he couldnt get HRA Excemption u/s 10. he doesn't have Rental Agreement, but he made all 12 months Rent Payments via bank transfer. If i Claim HRA now , As per 143(1a) he will get intimation to provide documents for the difference between Form 16 & ITR i.e. HRA Cliam. is it enough if we upload Rent Reciepts or will we compulsory need Rental Deed, If that is the case, if Rental Agreement made now will survive the purpose ??
