HRA in Form 16, filing new regime, lanlard income

Hi,

If HRA mentioned in Form 16 with lanlaird PAN number, And if we want not to claim HRA by filing in new regime, will the rent income still be reported to lanlard which he has to include. (Tenent not claiming)

Should we ask employer to revise form 16 without HRA?

Thanks

Quick Summary
If your Form 16 shows HRA with your landlord's PAN, but you plan to file under the new tax regime and not claim HRA, you can proceed without claiming it. Your employer is not obligated to revise Form 16. However, your landlord is still required to declare the rental income on their own tax return.

No. Employer will not revise it. You can file under New regime, without claiming HRA.

Landlord is require to declare the rental income in his/her ITR.

Ok possible
