hra exemption in itr1
sir i am salary person.i live in rented room.then i claimed hra exemption.then how can i show in itr1? give me steps to filing

pls read section 10(13A) of income tax act 1961
calcuate the taxable amount and include it in total income as there option such as other allowance given in itr separate column put amount there

If You Filled Online ITR-1
Take Taxable Value After deduction HRA exemption.
EX.
Salary Before HRA Rs. 5.2 Lakh
HRA allowed as per Income Tax Act Rs. 1.2 Lakh
So Mentioned in Online ITR only Rs. 4 Lakh
enter salary excluding allowances in 'income details' of itr 1,and enter hra exempt amt in "taxes paid and verification"
@ ravi I have to show hra exemption in itr1.how they know I claimed hra?
