Submit rent agreement, you may get your share of deduction. #10000/4 may considered for HRA Calculation
You can claim exemption, no rent receipt required.
R u in receipt of hra? if yes, then you claim least of the following as hra exemption
1. actual hra received
or
2. rent paid in excess of 10% of salary
or
3. 40% or 50% of salary depending upon the city you live

if not
you claim 30000 (2500 X 12) as deduction under 80GG
You can't claim HRA without a rent receipt or rent agreement since it is cash payment
You are eligible to claim
@ Amit ,

Rent may not reduce much tax in your case . So you may plan for investment in tax saving instruments like PPF , Tax saver FD , LIC etc
Sec 10(13A) RULE 2A
What you want to say @ Sabyasachi ??

You can claim the exemption without rent receipts also.

Claim 2500 as rent paid per month. Where the rent paid is less than Rs. 1 Lacs then PAN of the landlord is also not required.

Land Lord PAN is not required but can a person claim HRA without having proof for rent payment?
He can as no proof required
Without evidence can cause troubles.

Which Section says proof is not required?
Practically not required , proof required only if case selected for scrutiny.
When a person is filing ITR then he must have to do it as per proofs and actual information available.

True and correct information should be filed irrespective wherever it is selected for scrutiny
