Hra and house rent
if a person is getting hra and pays a much higher amount as house rent, can he claim rent-hra amount while filing ITR.if no is there any other area to claim that amount

If HRA is there , you can not get house rent Deduction under 80GG
No other area to claim that excess rent payment.
You have to rest with HRA only.
