What reforms are needed urgently in financial world specially in India? How long we will suffer the financial crisis

In my opinion, we need innovative persons in fields of Infrastructure, Education, Economic policies or any other.

What do you thinK? What are the reasons and solutions. We are not the worst but how can we be the best?

India would be back on the recovery path if proper measures are taken which is possible only if there is political stability which is currently missing

Dear Deepak,

In this regard, I would like to quote what Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat recently said in an interview with Economic Times. He said that :

"Red carpet, not red tape for investors, is the way out of India's worsening economic crisis"

I strongly exhort everybody to read this attached pdf file for knowing what this powerful man can do if we make him the leader of India.

Just forget about riots that happened years ago. Now, Modi has reformed himself. And riots happen world over, don't they ? Considering the diversity in India, they are bound to happen. But we should not attach the stigma of riots to Modi. He is a charismatic leader. Today, India needs leaders of his caliber not like our current leader, who gives just cold assurances everytime hundreds of people are killed in terrorist attacks. Of what worth is keeping an economist as a Prime Minister, who can not take India economically ahead ? Millions of Indians do not even get food to eat and clothes to wear and these ministers enrich themselves by crores by taking bribes. In contrast,  Modi is known for leading a frugal lifestyle. He has a personal staff of just three. He is known to be a workaholic Chief Minister and an introspective person

Veeral Gandhi

P.S: Please read the attached file and share your comments in this forum and thank you Deepak for taking an initiative regarding a current topic.

Thank you for replying by both of you.

I have already read and hear a lot about growth of Gujrat. This added a lot more. But i think it will be posiible to repeat it at national level because there is not a clear tendency of  majority position in India in central government elections. So a party can't take decisions on its own free will. This is happening for for than a decade.

Our current leadership is not sensetive about problems of common man of India. They define that the person who spend more than rupees 28 per day is not poor. Who will explain them that mere daily transportation cost in cities is more than that. Unemployment, corruption, delayed infrastructure projects, senseless regulations, insufficient monitoring of Government machinery etc. are measure breakdowns against growth of India. Who will solve these problems.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh and others alike were real leaders of India. Why did he sacrifice his life. I think the reason was happiness of future generations of our country. But current leaders mere concern about interests of themselves.

I am hopeless from present leadership. Narendra Modi, Anna hazare are ray of hopes but can't change the scenerio on their own

Dear Deepak,

Yes, Modi can not change the national scenario on his own because besides support from citizens of India, he also needs support from his own political party and media, esp. the English media. It is sad that his partymen are envious of popularity and trying to downplay his success in Gujarat. If his own party does not support him, how can we expect the English media to support him ? The support of media is very important, as it influences the mind of citizens. But the media is also quite corrupt. See, how it shows good man like Anna Hazare in poor light. I believe that even if a person works for a social cause to gain some popularity in the society, they should be supported because the outcome will always be good for all, whatever the motivation to do the good work might be.

Here I am talking about our country not particular state.I don't see any difference between ruling party and opposition now, even both are being missed. Some bad examples of Indian rulers Fact Rs 35-lakh toilet renovation routine maintenance -plan panel The Commission came under criticism after it was reported on the basis of an RTI reply that it has spent a whopping Rs 35 lakh for renovation of two toilets. Dear Deepak,

Even I do not support any particular political party. Without any sort of biased attitude towards any particular political party, I gave this example of a man that happens to be a Chief Minister of a model state , but has a great potential to be a leader who can take India ahead as a nation.

Your question is what reforms are urgently needed in the financial world especially in India and how long we will suffer this  crisis. I replied that the main reform that is needed at this hour, is the change in leadership. Looking at the present political scenario, it seems that no leader in the ruling party has the guts to legislate pathbreaking reforms.  All major business leaders  speak in one tone against the present ruling party especially the Prime Minister. Read front page of today's Economic Times and you will know that they are speaking the same thing as me.

You said that the reforms should be made in the field of Infrastructure and Education. But I would say that a lot has been done in this regard and gradually further reforms will be made but the present slowdown is due to rampant red-tapism and corruption. Due to slow down in decision making and corruption, the entrepreneurs are facing great problems in development of their business. The aspirin for this disease is 'THE LEADERSHIP CHANGE'. What happened in the state of Gujarat due to the efforts of an apt man, can be very well replicated at the national level.

Thus, the economy will kickstart only when the present ruler is replaced by a strong and dynamic leader leader like...

Veeral Gandhi

Thank you very much Gandhi sir for your valuable ideas. You are right that the leadership change is must for changing the scenerio. Reforms in filed of education, infrastructure etc. are not possible without a quality leadership. i wish that we will get such leadership soon. There must be positive change, no matters who leads towards such change. We shall we thankful to him for this. Begining is the most difficult part of a work. we will support the initiatives.
