How was CA Final audit paper?

for me it was much unacceptable one.. .unlike previous attempts where more or elss traditional questions were being asked, in this attempt many new questions were there....

Weird... Definitely not for crammers...

There was hardly any scope for writing answers based on partial knowledge of the topics. Poor coverage from topics 16-21. i.e. special audits to peer review.

I didnt find any easy freebie questions other than that question about 143(12).

The old model of questions, where-in they ask case based questions in which we have to give our opinion was much more answerable. We could quote SA and write something atleast.

A practicle paper i suppose. But good areas for scoring marks were also there like ques. no.3 Ques.6

Overall a good Paper for those who did the whole study rather than selective study

Paper pattern was different this time. Disappointed with the type of questions from professional ethics. 

i guess they just asked about the general council guidelines directly.

Sorry... I understand it was tough... But are they asking question from RTP and PM... Or it's thread of new question and concepts

Ditto!! I got super stumped cos I focused mainly on those topics(spl audits,Intnl aud,Due dili,peer review) and nothing much came unlike previous attempts :O Such a shocker!! This time the paper setter tried new and untested areas by selecting quesns from nook and corner ( even SA quesns were weird) . Nothing much came from PM/compiler as well. 

Coop society- 8 marks (!) , Nothing from core Tax audit except one based on Prof ethics. 

Ethics- Shockingly, Council guidelines, Defn of Other Misconduct and Components of ethics came unlike the usual Schedule based questions. 

Company Audit - THEY ASKED SECTION NUMBERS for govt company audit and Clause number of Nidhi company in CARO!! Other quesns were manageable .

Idk how they r gonna correct. Overall, a BOUNCER from ICAI!! 

Anti-PM. one of the worst audit paper ever seen. poor questions from prof ethics.

TBH, I felt it was Set of new quesns.. Not much from PM/RTP. In fact i tried tracing some quesns now and couldn't find'em. Even SAs were slightly twisted and cherry picked from inside the Main book of SA and not the usual quesns from PM. 

Time for us to watch out for more such papers in future I guess :/
