How to use capital goods credit

504 views 1 replies

Dear Experts,

We are a manufacturer of medical devices and we are exporting medical devices. My question is that we have capital goods credit in our part 23c register around 20 lakh. Can we send material on rebate by debit excise duty from capital goods register.

Thanks & Regards,
Devi Chand.

There is no difference between input cenvat credit ande capital goods cenvat credit as long as the goods manufactured are excisable. The credit can be utilised forclearance of goods or hoe use or export under claim of duty and getting rebate of duty paid through cenva credit.
