How to show interest on EPF without contributions when interest is not yet credited

I have searched on this topic on this forum and have not got any authorative answer.

I quit my regular job in 2020 as a salaried employee (age 57) but continued on contract

The last contribution to EPP was in Jan 2021.

NOw I understand that the interest on the EPF is fully taxable and am trying to pay the same for this assessment year (AY 2023-24).

However the interest is still not credited as on date  though it will be credited with date of 31-03-2023 when it does get done.

How do I treat this from a tax perspective? Do i need to calculate the interest myself and hope it it correct ?

Any help will be appreciated
