Please let me know whether i can practice as a CA without a firm name, if yes then how or if not then let me know the step by step procedure to set up a sole proprietor firm.i have already applied for COP.

yes you can practice in your own name. but if you decide to start a proprietorship firm then first you need to apply for name of firm to icai. once your firm name is approved, icai will give you a firm registration no. .... after that you can practice under such firm name, no further steps required.
