How to score well in paper 5-ama of ca final nov'12?

AMA is basically a conceptual based subject.. while solving question you should read queston twice or thrice slowly and try to make a picture of that, this will enable you to understand the question in a good manner and you will get the hint of procedure of solving that....you shoule give weightage both to practical and theory...practice manual of ICAI is very useful... 

Especially in subject like advanced management accounting, it is concept clarity and practise that matters a lot. Go for a good self study textbook on advance management accounting. It will not only help you devote more time on self study but also help in clearing your concepts.

I would advise you to get the following books immediately :

1) Tulsian's Advanced Management Accounting - CA(Dr.) P.C. Tulsian

2) Tulsian's Operational Research for CA-Final - CA (Dr.) P.C. Tulsian

Do theory very nicely as around 25to 30 marks theories are being asked in every attempts. For theory refer Practise Manual. And do QT/OR part very well as it is comparitively easy. From theory and QT/OR part around 50-60 marks are asked and if you can just score even 35in these part the paper will become managable for you.
