How to register a partnership firm

Dear Gopal,

To register a partnership firm first of all you have to create a partnership deed which states all terms and conditions about capital, profit sharing ration, work responsibilities, situation for addmission of a new partner, retirement of a partner, death of partners etc etc.  After it you have to get it registered you have to go to DIC (District Industries Centre) where you can get it registered after paying registration fees.  For Delhi, you can apply online also for its registration.  Another way is to get the deed notarized & file a TIN application with the VAT authorities of your area.  They will inspect the location of the business and will seek for a guarantor.  After that they will register you and will issue a TIN number.  As far as VAT registration forms are concerned, you please either tell me the location or go directly to the VAT authorities of your area. This will solve your problem.  After getting TIN number you will be considered as a Regd Dealer.

Make an application to the appropriate authority togather with a copy of Partnership Agreement and also the other required document, after satisfied the department will issue the Tin numberof your firm.

TIN word is used for two type of tax registrations

1) uneder state VAT act , VAT number is called as TIN, applicable for sales transactions, you have to get registered with VAT department of your state to get the TIN number.

2) under incometax act TAN is is called as TIN, used for tax deduction at source, you have to apply with NSDL online and send documents to NSDL with documents to get the same.

it is very easy to get TIN no. in delhi. in case of partnership you just need to prepare/collect following documents

1. form DVAT 4 and CST regn form duly filled

2. Form DVAT -12 ( detail of security submitted)

3  Partnership Deed copy

4. Address proof of office ( rent agreement, electricity bill, telephone bill)

5. Address and ID proof of all the partners

6 PAN no of the firm

7. PAN no. of the partners

8. for security following are the options

1  Bank gurantee in the name of Commissioner of DVAT A/c  " your firm name"

2 Surety Bond from registered dealers 2 Nos X 50000 each

3 Cash deposit of Rs. 100000/-

4. Fixed deposit   in the name of Commissioner of DVAT A/c " your firm name"

9. if you get passport of the partners and PAN of the firm notarised you will get the reduction of Rs. 10000/- each in sucurity  to be deposited/submitted ( Rs. 10000 for Passport and Rs. 10000/- for PAN )

10.  stamp paper of  Rs. 500 for VAT and stamp of Rs. 25 for CST registration

Dear sir I want to apply for a PAN card for the Partnership firm and i also applied with relevant documents such as deed and trade licence to Karvy datamanagement centre. But when i tracked the status it is displaying the Registration number not provided. In the registration number column of PAN card i just filled the Trade licence registration number. Is it wrong? If wrong please help me sir what is the Registration number in case of Applying the PAN is the registration number of notary in partnership deed the registration number or what to do?
