I have paid Rs.3000.00 as advance tax for the assessment year 2011-12 on 09.12.2010. But at the time of filing of income tax return it has been found that I had write wrong PAN at the challan and deposited into the bank through account payee cheque.
How I can rectify this mistake ?
you required to refer asseessing officer of your circle , he has the power to retify the same mistake and give a credit in your account.
you have to submit required detail to Asseessing officer like challan, bank statement...
mostly for sure your problem will be solved.
