How to prepare for ca final auditing

Hey let me just cut down to the chase straight away:

1.I got about the same marks in audit this time.I had studied from SurbhI Bansal.

2.The very next day i went to a bookstore near me and saw at all the good auditing books in the market, thus I feel padhuka has a great course coverage for both standards on auditing and the other chapters.It has 2 modules one for the normal chapters and one for the standards.It's a bit thick but if you devote enough time to it you'll be able to understand each and evry topic quite extensively.

3.I think we havent quoted enough standards in our paper thus showing that we are lacking in our PRESENTATION. So be more precise and quote as many relevant standards as you can.We can sailthrough easily if we follow this writing pattern

i have student handbook on advanced auditing june 2103 edition and standards are covered in 50 pages only without any questions or case studies .. can you please mention the name of the book for case studies on standards ? thanks  

Actually paduka has good discripttion but thick one.. Is there any other option for audit?

Pankaj Garg – Far better than surbhi bansal

I could not make it this time but I have got 55 marks in Audit. The book I have referred is Padhuka. Read it twice. 100% cover it n m sure it ll be good fr u...coz I believe der is no short cut for audit...the more u read the better ur writing standard ll be...ICAI expects professional language frm us nd padhuka really helps...In da latest edition de have covered Standards too in summary form. So now the book is fully equipped wid Chapters, Guidance notes n SAs...In my opinion just stick to it...U ll make it...!

Take clses from pankaj garg he is better than shurbhi but follow notes of either surbhi or padhuka....

Siddharth agrwal ... his buk and class notes r bettr thn all d abv... I have seen all f d abv . Ps I only got 50 bt thts anthr mattr

how is urvish shah book? any book on audit having practical question on sa covered in it?

Strategy to prepare Audit

 

QUICK READING APPROACH

 

First give ICAI audit study a quick reading to understand the depth and figure out the efforts and time required for final preparation. You would appreciate that through this quick reading you would be able to figure out where extra efforts are required in audit subject and plan accordingly.

 

Make necessary notes or put suggestions or mark strategy for yourself on the study book during first reading. This task helps you to deal with audit subject later on during final preparation. Pre-condition for this first study is --- go ahead for quick study with a completely relax and chilled mind. Your main purpose behind this quick study is observation and formation of a plan to deal with audit.

 

During first study ride prepare a plan for final preparation. Also use scanner for making the plan. Later on use any good notes to prepare. Remember at this moment you have everything in your mind like what is imp along with basic idea of the topic and chapter.

 

SPECIAL ATTENTION TO SA AND AS

 

Also give special attention to SA and AS. Only good knowledge of SA and AS is not enough but you must understand the technique to apply SA and AS in audit practical problems. For this purpose refer ICAI suggested answers and observe the application of SA and AS to the problem. Another benefit of this task is—it also helps you to understand SA and AS in a much better way.

Pankaj garg better 1. Because in this you can cover topics from syllables also que of practice manual and past exams which helps you definitely because at this time most of the que they r asking in xam from institue study materials. so I suggest you Pankaj garg is gud. You should go for his book.

koi bhi book ya kuch bhi padhlo, par checker ko laga ki sahi he to jalse, baki samaj lo tum....

 

i think attitude of checker while examine audit paper is, student must write what he want, or match with book ans, but my approach is he should must consider that our ans. is right/relevent or not, even full ans. is not match with any book, but if relevent than give full marks............

I HAVE SAME PROBLEM I GOT 34 MARKS THIS TIME, PLEASE SUGGEST WHICH BOOK IS BETTER FOR AUDIT OTHER THAN SURBHI BANSAL, AS I HAVE READ PM ALONGWITH SURBHI BANSAL.

go for surbhi bansal for concepts and refer practice manaual for pattern for answering. I did this ways and secured 58 in finals

Can I refer Jan'12 edition of ICAI module for Audit ? I am appearing for Nov'14 exam(CA final) ?
