i want to maintain rent and security deposit in same account
i used my tenants as sundry debitors
rent ledger as direct income
deposit ledger as current assets
i give invoice to my tenants
with rent and maintenance charges
i want to maintain the deposit in the current year and previous year
pls help to do it in tally 9
You will have to feed the unadjusted balance of the deposit as the opening balance of the deposit account
Open the same name under the Group-Current Assets-Security Deposit and Current Rent under the head Income. Put the security deposit in the Security Deposit Account and transaction in the Income account
