How to keep your yahoo inbox organised?

Folders are used to manage files in your hard drive. Similarly, you can create folders in your e-mail account to manage e-mails easily. Important e-mails can be moved to other folders which you can classify or categorize your e-mails according to their use. Thus Yahoo mail makes it easy to keep your Inbox organized with all ease and effectiveness. Here are the steps.

(A)    Classic Yahoo! Mail

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.

  1. Step 2

Choose "Options," located in the upper right side of the screen. Make sure "Mail" is selected in the Options menu on the left side of the screen.

Select "Filters" under the Management menu. Press the "Add" button.

Type in a name that describes what you'd like to filter in the "Filter Name" text box. Fill in one or all of the rules boxes to match what you would like to filter. Under the "Then…" heading, use the pull-down menu to select "[New Folder]." Click on the "Add Filter" button.

Enter the name of the new folder you would like to create in the dialog box that appears. Press "OK." Your folder is created.

Click on the "Mail" tab in the upper left of the screen to navigate back to the main Yahoo! Mail screen. You will see a new heading called "My Folders" on the left side menu that contains the folder you just created.

(B)   New Yahoo! Mail

  1. Step 1

Log into your Yahoo! Mail account.

  1. Step 2

Find the menu item "My Folders" on the left side of the screen. Click on "Add" directly to the right of it.

Highlight the term "untitled" in the text box that appears. Type in a name for your folder and hit the Enter key.
