How to increase % from 45 to 50

Dear Sirs and madams,

Please help me and others like me by giving your valuable suggestion on how to improve % levels from 45 to 50

It has been 8 attempts for me I have cleared my group I and I have this problem of constantly scoring above 40 in every subject and not making it to magical 200(in my case) in group II every time I see similar set off marks having tried different methods, joining classes, analysis etc. to increase the marks.

General problems faced by me are

Costing  - not able to complete paper - avg marks - 45

ISCA - Unable to determine what will be my score - average range - 42 - 58

DT - Unable to understand what to read before exams - average range - 40 - 58

IDT - Unable to find out reason for not scoring as much as others - average marks - 46

and my general total lands between range 175 - 195. Its quite frustrating to pass all subjects and not being called a CA just for few marks.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated as I am feeling very low at the moment

Dear Friend,

This was the problem faced my friend in IPCC. On your case, as per my view, its matter of examination management, i mean to say is, as your score ranging 40-45, your not bad at subject.what i can suggest is

1.get certified copies and know your grey areas

2. find solution for such grey areas

3.in examination do not leave any question, for question you do not anything givereasonable by using common sense and subject sense.believe me it works to theextent

4.reconsider your time management in exams

5.so any valuable tips on presentation of theoitical and practical answers given by fellow CCI members, search it in caclubindia, i found they are very useful. This isvery important.

All the Best.

Hi amogh,

Its tough for luck for u....that because of IInd group pending since u r not declared as CA though u pass all subject but not get agreegate of magical 200 landmark..😕

Now since last 4 exams I.e from may 13 onwards icai has made paper evaluation very tough for IInd group. And due to large no of students appearing CA final the result would be similar or few % up or down .

So now If u can devote 2 months full time over this exam with extra focus over costing and isca then u can pass certainly.

As u have reasonably good command over all subjects, now u only need to only practice n practice of paper writing in exam condition mainly costing and DT because these papers are always lengthy. So only time management of 3 hours is require.

So if u can devote 2 months to 3 months time for practice and revision then definitely u r may 15 result would be positive.

As icai declared the result so students have only option to prepare again . though its frustrating but no option . give reasonable time of 2 months for exam once again and forget u r past failures and focus once again .

Because again u will have to sit with around 75 thousands students in may 15 . so only the the u have right now is this time read the syllabus with amendments in1 months and then do paper solving practice in exam conditions . all u r past papers and also moct test papers.

So do practice once more .... That's all...

All the best.

Which buk should be referred for isca

Really nice said by Girdhar. Mine also same case and i am not able to score aggregate marks though i will get above 40 in all subjects. this time i felt that out of 100 marks of DT, IDT, Costing, i got around 40 to 45 marks only, this seems my preparation is very weak and in a professional exams we shuld able to cross 50% else it is a drawback. we have to study complete syllabus and early preparation and repeated revison is very much needed to clear exams.

Not doing early preparation and revisions if we feel that we have not cleared is also not correct. So let us once again start studies and do complete early and have a good comand on subjects so that we can answer the paper within 3 hrs without leaving anything.

write answers in exam in manner given in practice manual.. n try to attempt full 100 marks paper

Traget for ISCA to get exemptionbon that.. u ll get through..

Hi

You are on high risk with AMA, it seems that you are trying to complete difficult Qn first which entails you most of your time, since you are consistenetly getting 40+ marks shows your concepts arent bad, you need to focus on planning & manage your time efficiently..

While attempting costing focus should be completing your paper, never attempt Q1 in the beginning, first complete any 3 Qn in 1 to 1.5 hrs & thene go for Q1. By doing this you will be already in your full rhytham to take Q1 which will help you to complete in less time..

While revising costing paper make sure you solve each problems writing it to pace it up..You should be clear with each steps you needed in mind before starting it.. this will keep you organised & consume less time in case you get panic..

Remeber keep your spirit high, when you are confidenet enuff your half problems gets solved & your brain functions at optimum speed. Believe in your self & your are CA Amogh Desai this May 2015..

All the best!

Thanks Vaibhav and Arun sir
Thanks everyone for your valuable suggestions

Thanks to all those who have helped me in this forum

I finally cleared my CA in May 15.

I found out that problem with me was not that I dint knew the syllabus rather it was more about spending the 3hrs of exams inefficiently (i.e. not applying myself correctly)
