How to implement change in name in icai records

Attested copy of Gazette Notification or Original copy of advertisement in a leading Newspaper for change of name,

Attested copy of affidavit, for the change in name, duly sworn in before a First Class Magistrate/ Notary public as the case may be. The Institute will issue a letter of change in name to the member on satisfying the above requirements. Such change will be noted only for record purposes and no fresh certificate of membership/fellowship or certificate of practice will be issued subsequent to change in name if certificate is already issued.

I have given the above reply for change in name of ICAI (assumed as "Chartered" and not "Cost") members.

Since, in your profile the designation is "Student", the process for change in the name of article/audit assistant will be the same except for the last part regarding fresh issue of certificate.

I'm in ca final and wish to change my name. I think this is the right time to follow procedure for name change as when I will get my degree after ca final completion from icai It would contain my changed name. M I thinking right. Can anyone answer.

How may I check the status of the request now.

and is it re-issue old exam passing certificate with new name or not, if not

I have changed my name from subramanya to Srikanth using notarized affidavit, gazette and newspaper ad, updated my the ssp profile name as well, but now I want to change my name again from Srikanth to vaibhav, using the same procedure, before ca Intermediate exams. Will i face any trouble?
