Check your account opening form or emails on the day of demat account opening
Old mails are not available and I do not have the account opening form.

If it is mobile app then try from my account --> Profile --> Details.
You may get 16 digit number .
But it show as demat account

DP Id and demat account number both same ?
Possibly both are same for CDSL account
First check whether it is for cdsl or nsdl
.
