Guys Definitely yes…I am Ca final student and I also feel that you may get AIR by working hard in six months.

But smart work is also necessary. I qualified CA IPCC in one attempt in Delhi.

First of all, I congratulate you on passing CA CPT. I feel that first of all, you should complete your coaching classes. You should not be completely based on self study since in AIR, Smart work is much needed. Normally A student has 10 months to appear in exams for ca inter. I think all coaching should be completed at least 4 months before for getting AIR. I will discuss subject by subject timing taken by all best teachers in completing coaching classes for CA IPCC. Please Note I will consider only best teachers in CA IPCC Level. I am also discussing keeping in mind new syllabus.

You must join classes at least for practical papers and you may buy pen drive for theory paper.

In first 3 months, You should target group 1 of ca inter. You must take coaching classes for following subjects in first 3 months.

  1. Accounts - 2 months time -Monday to Friday classes - I Prefer PS Beniwal Sir since very experienced
  2. Law - 3 months time - Monday to Saturday Classes - I suggest Munish Bhandari since his book is very popular
  3. Cost - 2 months time - Monday to Saturday Classes - I suggest Purushottam sir since he tells formula memorizing technique
  4. Tax - 2 months time - I suggest go for pen drive of Neeraj Arora since very helpful

After 3 months your first group coaching is complete.

Now target for second group of ca inter

  1. Adv. Accounts - 2 months time - Daily classes - I suggest PS Beniwal since very experienced
  2. Audit - 3 months time - MWF - I suggest Surbhi bansal since very experienced
  3. FM - 2 months time - Daily classes - I suggest go for Aaditya Jain Sir since concept based study
  4. IT & SM - 1 months time - Daily classes - I suggest Sunil Sethi (Memory Craftz)

After 3 months your second group coaching is complete.

Now you have 4 months and easily get AIR. Best of luck for your exams.

First of all you should be clear weather you should go for single group or both the group at a time. Going for both the group at a time will be very hectic and you will always feel the pressure on your head whereas going for single group will be easy and the pressure of the preparation and class will also be less. Ask yourself whether you should go for single group or both the group thinking of the toughness considering whether you will give 6 month or 12 months for preparation.

As per my opinion, CA is one of the toughest courses in India and passing the CA exam is in itself not less than a rank. So clearing CA exams is in itself a big thing.

Now if you are going for both the group together then in such a case you have the benefit of set- off and also have a chance to score a rank. You can only score a rank in CA IPCC exam if you give the exam of both the group together. However for scoring rank you should have completed the class at least 3 months before the exam and should complete the preparation at least 2 months before the exams. In the last 2 months, your only objective is to do revision and solving MTP and RTP.

Following are some of the tips you can consider for preparation if you are preparing for rank:

  • Stick to ICAI study materials. Don’t go deep on the concepts as it will take time and you do not have much time.
  • RTP and MTP are the must. They help to boost your confidence and improve presentation skills. Don’t pick any random mock test series. I would recommend Prepca test series. Their answer-wise detailed assessment report (ADAR) helps a lot to know your strengths and weakness. Counselling session helps to clear your personal doubts.
  • Solve 3-4 previous attempt question paper.
  • Stick to the important topic form exam prospective and solve them in writing. You can skip less important topics for the last minute revision. Always remember, everything is important and do not take risk of leaving any topic untouched.

Chartered Accountancy is a very demanding course and it is best to stick to a plan to not get overwhelmed by the vastness of the course. CA Intermediate had seven papers in the old course and currently has eight papers in the new course. There has been a slight shuffling of subjects and introduction of basic economics to the course. Regardless the pressure on students remains the same. For, CA Intermediate it is recommended for student to join a coaching centre, or at least take classes for subjects such as taxation and audit, which are completely fresh for them.

I joined a coaching institute which held courses for all subjects. So, the pace of teaching was set by the teachers and I diligently followed it. If you are doing self-study, I would recommend getting your hands on a reputed coaching’s class schedule, so that you can maintain your pace according to them. The biggest challenge in CA is to complete the course within time and you should let the experts plan that.

The largest struggle as a student is to keep up with classes, in order to do that every student should make sure of the following:

  • Always complete your homework on time.
  • Note down your doubts at the back of your register simultaneously during class and get them cleared as soon as possible from your teacher or friends
  • Before you go to bed every day, go through that day’s notes.
  • Make sure you know what topic is going to be taught and try to read the introduction of the same from the ICAI module on you own.
  • Once a chapter is finished, make sure you practice all the ICAI Module questions of the same.
  • Give all your tests in coaching with sincerely.
  • Attempt as many mocks as possible before the exams. It had helped me lot. I preferred PREPCA test series for giving mocks. Their ADAR report and bird’s eye view are just perfect. Their counselling session helped me to clear my personal doubts. Moreover, I was luck enough that almost 25–30% from their test series got repeated in my attempt and I was able to score a rank.

Thus, be sincere in your classes and do not procrastinate. CA Intermediate doesn’t require much strategizing on your end, all you need to do is be a sincere student and everything will go swimmingly.

Thank you!

Feedbacks appreciated!
