ELECTRICITY REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE AC. - - -- - - - -- -DR.

 TO CASH

OR TO PARTY AC.

( BEING VIRES ETC. PURCHASED)

CLEANING , LIQUIDITRIES SHOULD BE UNDER THE HEAD OFFICE/ FACTORY MAINTENANCE AC.

THE ENTRY WILL BE

OFFICE/ FACTORY MAINTT. AC.- - - - -- - - - - - -DR.

TO CASH

Dear Malarvannan

The entry will be

1) Repair & Maintenance              Dr.

         To   Cash/ Bank/ Creditor

2) Office Expenses                         Dr.

          To Cash/ Bank/ Creditor

1.   if the amount of electrical good is higher and  its running  for long period then its capitalized, if  the amont of these good is small then its cover under head repair and maintenance.

2. purchase of purchase of toiletaries like purchase of cleaning liquid, toilet fresher etc is treated under office expensess , nature of these expensess is indirect expensess

Electricity Exp u/h REpairs & Maintenance - Indirect Exp.

Cleaning etc. u/h Office Maintenance - Indirect exp.

Thanks to all ........absolutely right........

BUT IF SUCH EXPENSES (ELECTRICAL) ARE DONE IN CASE OF BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION THEN THESE SHOULD BE CAPITALISED UNDER BUILDING HEAD.

the Fixed assets ( capitalized) account head is "electric installation", if the amount is higher than 5000/- in a year

electric installation a/c dr

to cash/ bank

depriciation available @ 15% per annum on it.
