Sir i am planning to do both ca and cs. I have registered for cpt for june 2014. I wanted to know the way of approaching both courses. Should i do ca and then cs or the other way round or simultaneously. Also do i have to complete the training for both courses or is there any exemption. Lokking forward to your valuable feedback.

I will suggest you to prepare only for CA.
It will be enough...
and the combination of CA & CS is not a good combination(as per my knowledge and observations).
So, i will suggest you to go for CA Only.
Its better to start cs after clearing your IPCC.
Hiee Indrajit,Even i could advice you the same as said by Meet Gupta,after completing your IPCC,then get enrolled for CS.....I mean that after completion of IPCC you wil have 2.5 years gap for appearing your final exam.Mean while you can complete CS Executive and professional courses.. Here in CS you can write all the exams and then go for training.But you should go for training in order to have CS as your prefix.....Just writing exams don't give you that qualification.....

Thank you so much. Another thing i wanted to know is about the scope of cs. Is doing bcom and cs enough or do you have to do supplement it with another professional course for good job prospects?
Though earlier scope of cs was less than as compared to ca, but with cos. act 2013 the scope of cs has increased...still it would be good if you complete your ca...rest in the end it depends on your personal knowledge an capability and bit luck...there are many who are earning good with only cs.
