how to desable the cell in MSExcel

How to desable one cell in Ms excel. I mean to say that there is one formula in one cell there fore i want that at the time to type some data in particular sheet the cell containing the formula could not be altered.

1. While copying one cell with formula to another cell or sheet use copy / paste special given in edit toolbar.To copy in another sheet can go by ctrl page up / ctrl page down after using copy command. 2. To keep cell fix formula use $ sign before cell alphabat. e.g. $G$121

This can be done by protecting the sheet.
Now that would lock all cells! The trick is to first format cells which you donot want locked and clear the check mark against lock cell for those cells (Format cell --> protection). Then protect the sheet.
If you want only one (or a few) cell locked, first select all cells (ctrl+A) and in cell-format, unlock all cells. Then you may select cells you want to lock. Last, protect the sheet and Bingo! u are done.
