I have moved from Delhi to Bangalore. Now will apply for change in address in PAN card & will file IT Return in Bangalore. Will my AO code change automatically? What about Refund which is pending since FY 2009-2010? Will I have to visit Delhi for it or its files will be transferred to Bangalore? Regards. RAKESH
Yes, AO code will change automatically when you apply for change in address in your PAN card. However, it is always good to write an application to your previous AO when you do this for file transfer expeditiously. Your file will be duly transferred to Bangalore and you wont have to visit Delhi for that.
