How do you clip off a part of a video in vegas?

Hello Friends,

I am working on a movie project for school. Let's say in a clip of ours that we were filming, something unwanted got in the scene like a parked truck in the background while making a medieval scene. We wanna keep the whole scene but crop out the side of the video clip containing the truck in Sony Vegas. How do you clip off a part of a video in Vegas? Is there any way to do this?

Thanks In Advance

Hello Friends,

with the clip on the time line, divide the clip at the begining of the unwanted section, then divide at the ending of the unwanted section. delete the unwanted section. the remaining clips should close on the space. This is non-destructive and can be undone if needed.
Another way is to put duplicate clips in the bin. on the first one, trim off everything past the end of the good video. on the second copy, trim off everything before the resumption of good video. put both trimmed clips on the time line in sequence.

Sony Vegas allows you to cut video. I have used it. However, it's actually a bit difficult for our new beginners. I lastly use a lossless yet high-speed video cutter - Joyoshare Media Cutter, to do this job. Also, you can try some online free solutions if you want to cut clips right away.

If you are looking for a simple-to-use video cutter, I have some relative experience. You can try TunesKit Video Cutter, which has both Mac and Windows versions. And it supports nearly all the video and audio formats. Most important of all, it can do a lossless cut and export the videos at 60X faster speed. Except for being a video cutter, it has many additional functions, like editing.
