Yes, HP Loss can be set-off against Salary Income. It does not make difference whether half of the house is self occupied or not.
yes u can avail the loss even the same is not rented
u can avail the ded of intt payment of H/Loan
half of the house prperty will be treated as self occupied and half will be let out
