It was a bright sunny day. Sana hopped on her bicycle and pedaled down the road to her best friend’s house. Hira had called her to her house asking her to come immediately. Sana quickly reached the house and rang the doorbell.
Hira opened the door and pulled Sana inside. There in the middle of the hall her parents were abusing a girl servant in their house Hira led me to her room and shut the door. “Will you please tell me what’s going on ,Hira?” asked Sana impatiently. “ My mom lost her diamond necklace yesterday at home and she can’t find it. She suspects one of our servants and has also called the police to investigate,” replied Hira.
“ Oh my God, Hira ! That’s terrible news but I’m sure the police will find it once they arrive.” Hira broke into tears. “They wont be able to find it , Sana because…because …I lost it.” “What!!!”’ exclaimed Sana. “ How? ”.Remember last night at the Schools Annual Dinner I was wearing a necklace…That was my moms. I knew she would say no if I asked her so I took it from her cupboard without asking .It fell sometime last night at the Dinner. Oh Sana! What do I do now?” Hira sank to the floor crying miserably .Sana helped her get up and calm down. “ Hira .now the first thing you should do is admit your mistake That poor girl is being beaten black and blue because of you. “I cant do it,Sana “ sobbed Hira. Yes you can “argued Sana. “ You don’t need courage to tell a lie but you need to be brave to say the truth.” Hira gathered her strength and walked to thee hall where she confessed to her parents apologized to her maid.
